May 3, 2024	Online or in person payments begin & Property Tax bills can be found online at treasurer.mchenrycountyil.gov
May 10, 2024	Property Tax bill will be mailed
May27,2024	MEMORIAL DAY- Office Closed
June 8, 2024	Treasurer's office open for in person property tax payments from 8:30am to 1pm
June 10, 2024	1^st installment due date
June 11, 2024	Per Illinois State Statute, 1.5% interest per month due on late payments
June 19, 2024	JUNETEENTH – Office Closed
July 4, 2024	4^TH OF JULY Office Closed
August 9, 2024	Mobile Home bills to be mailed
Sept. 2, 2024	LABOR DAY – Office Closed
Sept. 7, 2024	Treasurer's office open for in person property tax payments from 8:30am to 1pm
Sept. 10, 2024	2^nd installment due date
Sept. 11, 2024	Per Illinois State Statute, 1.5% interest per month due on late payments
Sept. 20, 2024	Trustee Surplus Auction silent bids due
Sept. 24, 2024	Tax Buyers can come in and pay Subsequent Taxes
Oct. 4, 2024	Begin printing certified notices
Oct. 14, 2024	COLUMBUS DAY- Office Closed
Oct. 11, 2024	Mobile Home bills are due
Oct. 11, 2024	$10 publication fee has been added to delinquent schedule on bills
Oct. 11, 2024	Certified Notices must be in the mail
Oct. 11, 2024	Delinquent list must be printed and sent to the newspaper
Oct. 18, 2024	Publication date for Delinquent list in newspaper
Oct 25, 2024	Last day for Tax Buyers to register for the tax sale
Oct. 25, 2024	Delinquent list is available for the Tax Buyers
Oct. 28, 2024	File application for Judgement with the Circuit Clerk-set date for court
Nov. 4. 2024	Court date for Judgement
Nov. 5, 2024	Election Day- Office Closed
Nov. 11, 2024	Veterans Day- Office Closed
Nov. 8, 2023	Last day to pay using credit/debit cards in our office
Nov. 11, 2024	Last day to pay any form of online payments
Nov. 12, 2024	Last day to pay taxes to avoid the tax sale. 5PM cut off, NO POSTMARK
Nov. 13, 2024	Tax Sale begins 9AM
