Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination & Microchip Clinics

The McHenry County Animal Control & Adoption Center hosts low-cost rabies vaccine and microchip clinics throughout the year to help pet owners stay in compliance with county ordinances. These clinics, which require appointments to be scheduled in advance, offer a simple, safe, and permanent form of identification through microchipping. With over 10 million pets becoming lost each year and only 1 in 10 lost pets being found, having a pet microchipped is a proven way to quickly identify and reunite lost pets with their owners.

NOTE: These clinics are for McHenry County residents only. All dogs must be leashed and cats must be in an approved carrier when arriving for their appointments. All owners must verify that their pet has not bitten anyone in the past 10 days. Owners must put a muzzle on dogs that require one prior to their appointment. Animals getting a microchip must be up to date on rabies vaccination or they be get vaccinated at the time of microchipping.

Prices:
Pets must also be registered for an additional fee. Visit the registration page to see prices.
