Donations are welcome at McHenry County Animal Control! 

We take a variety of both used and new items. See our most needed items on our wish list below. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please call (815) 459-6222 if you have questions about what we accept or where to drop off your donations.

We always accept new items! Check out our Amazon Wish List to see what we're looking for right now. 

We also appreciate used items that we can give a new life! But there are limitations on what we can accept. 

Used items we accept (in good condition):

• Animal beds
• Towels and blankets **unable to accept blankets & towels at this time**
• Cat trees 
• Scratching posts
• Toys

Used items we can NOT accept:

• Food
• Treats
• Brushes
• Medicine/medical supplies

Dry pet food can be donated to local food pantries.
