Potable Water Program

- Water Well Evaluation: evaluation of the current operation of a water well typically done for real estate transactions and/or refinancing of mortgages. Includes analysis of water sample for coliform bacteria and nitrates.)

Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems
Documents associated with onsite wastewater treatment systems including:
- Permit Records: new system installations, replacement system installations, repairs and abandonment of systems from February 1, 2003 forward.
- Site Evaluations: written evaluation of the suitability of a site to install a compliant onsite wastewater treatment system to serve a new residence or structure.
- Health Reviews: written evaluations of the impact of an addition, remodeling project or accessory structure on an existing onsite wastewater treatment system or water well.
- Septic System Evaluation: evaluation of the current operation of an onsite wastewater treatment system typically done for real estate transactions and/or refinancing of mortgages.
- Subdivision Review: reviews of proposed subdivisions to be served by onsite wastewater treatment systems
- Non-Residential Aeration Unit Registrations: documents related to the annual registration and inspection of aeration units serving non-residential properties utilizing onsite wastewater treatment systems.
- Special Waste Holding Tanks: documents related to annual registration and inspection of special waste holding tanks serving properties utilizing onsite wastewater treatment systems.
- Septage Management: permit and inspection files for Private Sewage Disposal System Pumping Contractors operating in McHenry County.
