By presenting this card to participating retailers, restaurants and other businesses, you will receive discounts, incentives and other promotions in honor of your service. The McHenry County Recorder’s Office is dedicated to providing quality service to our veterans by also recording original military discharge papers (DD214s) and providing certified copies of discharges, which, have been previously recorded. Getting your discharge papers recorded will give you peace-of-mind in the case that your papers were ever lost, you could obtain a free copy at our office. This will ensure you can prove eligibility for certain benefits and programs for veterans.
