The McHenry County Animal Control (MCAC) is hosting a “Whisker Wonderland” cat adoption event from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15. Adult cats will have reduced adoption fees, up to 50% off! 

Adopters must fill out an adoption form and be approved before they schedule an appointment; this event cannot accommodate walk-ins. Cats available for adoption during this event can be viewed on Petfinder.com. 

MCAC staff will be available to help match adopters with the right pet for them and answer questions about cat care or pet ownership. All adopters will leave with a goodie bag to help them get started caring for their new furry friends.

All adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, given flea and tick control treatment, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV tested. Young kittens that have not been spayed/neutered or vaccinated, will be able to return to the shelter later for free spay/neuter and vaccination.
