Job Search Networking Group - Keeping it Professional while Job Searching

Job Search Networking Groups are structured to encourage job seekers to assist one another with their employment search under the guidance of a facilitator. Through the six-weeks participants build a network of peer support to help maintain motivation during the job search process.
Registration is required for attendance.

 

Jan. 11, 2021 - Communication Skills for Job Search (Sharing best practices: voicemail, email, elevator speeches and more)
Jan. 18, 2021- Keeping it Professional when Job Searching (Sharing best practices: social media, discussing former employer, first impressions, and more) 
Jan. 25, 2021 - Tips for Interviewing Skills (Sharing best practices: Research the company, common interview questions, know the job description, and more)
Feb. 1, 2021- Computer Skills for Job Search ( Sharing best practices: Basic expectations in Microsoft Office, common job search sites, a formatted resume and more)
Feb. 8, 2021- Strategies for Motivation and Accountability During a Job Search (Sharing best practices: Goal setting and check lists, job search groups, networking and more)
Feb. 15, 2021- Spotlight your Critical Thinking in Your Job Search (Sharing best practices: Keywords on resume, mention skills on cover letter, provide an example during the interview and more)
